Nasa entered in the Grade 3 $200,000 Jerome at Aqueduct 1/3.
Caramouche expected to ride.
He may be about third or fourth favorite -- El Kabeir very tough.

I posted that Run Smart One was to be retired and this is the article on Smarty's facebook page. This little guy raced 100 times and was in the money 39 times out of the 100. He is truly a gutsy little one. For anyone who wants to help there is no amount to small-Thank you very much!:

Nasa ran a very credible second to El Kabeir in the $200,000 Grade 3 Jerome on Saturday.
El Kabeir is definitely in the Triple Crown Mix so it's not a bad loss at all.
Nasa looks like he might prefer a mile rather than the longer Triple Crown distances.
I'd also like to see Nasa get a turf start at some point.
My belief is that Nasa can have a better career than Res Judicata, who has been somewhat of a disappointment in that he gives up when passed.
As for Run Smart One, it's a relief to see him finally retired.
He had to finally be pulled from the starting gate by the track vet. He was in a lot of races in what I would consider a short time.

^^^^^ you all are certainly right RSO deserves to be retired-he does have some issues(two of his ankles have been fused and his motion is limited and they think his knee may be fractured so there will be vets bills from the start. But he will be home with no more racing for our little warrior!!!! I know we are all happy about that!!!! Thanks again. We are trying to raise money for the rescue for the bills and for the transport,RSO has always given his best to all of his many trainer/owners. Not sure they did the same!!! Be blessed---dks

"Not sure they did the same."
Amen to that Jane.
These shoestring operations with a couple of horses are always going to be looking at dollar signs.

John Servis was just on the Philly local racing show talking about Nasa, who had a nice second in the Jerome Grade 3 last Saturday.
Nasa is a small colt, not broad or with much muscle -- looks like a filly.
He can go longer and seems to have very good stamina.
Got an 87 Beyer in the Jerome.
"A good notch" below Smarty in terms of potential but Servis and Pat Chapman will give him chances to move ahead.
(Probably not a Triple Crown candidate but very nice colt).
Servis also has Scattered, another promising three-year-old by Scat Daddy.

6yo gelding, Francois, will begin his 2015 campaign on Friday (1/16/15) at Oaklawn Park in the Fifth Season Stakes. Had himself a pretty good
2014 season, with the exception of that rough trip in the Hanshin Cup at Arlington in May, where he may have been in a little deep. Good luck to this
hard tryer.
41 - 11-10-4, $283,428.

this is Run Smart One's F/B page-they are still taking donations for him, they are also trying to contact his breeder to see if they will help or sponsor him-RSO has been thru so much- a 100 starts is a lot. Needs vet attention right away. Please say hello to Smarty's warrior. Thank you very much
