Honestly I think that is the right price for him, and they mentioned previously that they would be downsizing his book sizes this year (War Front style?) so I wouldn't be surprised to see people paying more than that to get their mares booked to him.

Since Winchell owns 1/2 of him, by limiting his book, they can get whatever they want and whoever they want. I'm wondering if they plan on doing foal partnerships to get some top tier lines into their own stable.

He has had some promising horses but that is huge jump. He is ranked 62nd but is priced higher than all but 12 of the horses above him on the General sire list (though 18 are pensioned, private fees, standing in other countries or deceased).

That is quite the step jump. I could see a 10K jump, maybe. Could they want to get a certain type of mare to him?

I think POTN is worth every penny of that. He's getting a load of graded stakes horses on the dirt, they can go 2 turns, and he can be bred to a large population of mares without inbreeding. He's getting equally good fillies and colts. He has at least 7 graded stakes horses in his first crop, which I think was less than 90 foals. He will have this years champion 2 year old. And he's moving his mares up.

He's the real deal.

So You Think - €12,500

They should really send So You Think back to Australia, because I think that the handsome son of High Chaparral would garner a lot of support...and a higher stud fee....from the breeders in Oz.

"Real Deal" from two crops is arguably premature. That's a big number. Not interested at that level, but good luck to those that are.

Candy Ride up to $60,000. Not sure dropping him to 35 made much sense in the first place.

Jackson Bend isn't listed for Journeyman Stud for 2015. He retired there initially then returned to racing prior to breeding season.

Then in mid-2014 he retired again, with news that he would be a stallion for 2015 in Florida. I guess it's not at Journeyman this time around. Wonder where he is.
