For some reason, my brain has always associated him with Cahill Road, which obviously isn't right because he was in Unbridled's crop. It either has to be that Champagneforashley was in the 1990 Wood and Cahill Road was in the 1991 Wood, and neither ran again afterwards or maybe they were both the favorites for their runnings? Equibase doesn't have the charts from that long ago and while I can find replays of both, Cahill Road and Meadow Star went off at the same odds in 1991.

I'm not a fan of run on names either but the purposefully misspelled ones to try and make a super long name are the worst.
Just thinking that it's a really good thing that the naming rules don't allow the use of numbers in numerical format. That would make the run-on names even worse!

Quarter Horses can do this. Very occasionally it can work out (Bugs Alive in 75, who actually did have an all-time great 2yo year in 1975) but it usually just looks weird (Flying Cowboy 123 and his bevvy of offspring with 123 in their name)

Sometimes runon sentence names work well (like Haveyougoneaway, IMO) but most of them stink as of late.

That brings back memories. Itsallgreektome was in one of Trevor Denman's best stretch calls -- "Does he stay? He stays like a mother-in-law!"

He was a beautiful horse. It was sad when he had to be gelded after getting hurt while cast in his stall. :( He was supposed to go to stud in Kentucky eventually, unless I'm misremembering, that was a long time ago.

Have any names been submitted for the 1/2 to Serengeti Empress by Hansen? She'd be two, she's nominated for the BC but that's all I can see on my end.

There are so many other names that would have worked for that one. However, that's not even the first Diaper Dandy out there. There was a mare born in 2007 by Strong Hope out of Mythomania (who was a half sister to Heart of Joy) with the same name that I just happened to follow bc Mythomania is by Nureyev.

I'm a curiosity killed the cat kind of person so I had to look up what that could even possibly mean. According to Google, Dick Vitale, an ESPN college basketball broadcaster and former head coach, coined the phrase “Diaper dandies,” to refer to freshmen basketball players who are instant college stars.

Its an awful name for a horse though and imo, its weird to call college players that.

Really is. Feels like a commercial for an insurance agency. :(
Something like Ghost Cat would have been nice.
