This made my mind wander- who are some of the most gentle, easy-going, and kind stallions currently standing? Kid-safe or almost kid-safe level. Just laid-back dudes. I'd be extremely interested to hear of anyone's experiences meeting those sorts of studsSqueaky wrote: ↑Mon Jan 23, 2023 8:07 pmI think a saint. I don't know if his personality has changed much since going to stud, but American Pharoah was brought out by Baffert for meet-and-greets with almost anyone. Super laid-back boy then. Hope he still is.

Pretty pony post: Calculator. Like any half-decent gray horse, he is a big dirt enthusiast.

Shigeki Yusa (https://twitter.com/yusas) is always posting clips of Animal Kingdom and he seems like the nicest stallion ever. Easy to handle, easy to ride, just a sweetheartNenikikamen23 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 23, 2023 8:30 pmThis made my mind wander- who are some of the most gentle, easy-going, and kind stallions currently standing? Animal Kingdom was one of the horses to get me into racing. Visually, one of the most beautiful animals I've ever seen, I'm sure photos don't do him justice. But the temperament he seems to show in videos has also really strengthened my liking for himMiss Woodford wrote: ↑Mon Jan 23, 2023 11:23 pmShigeki Yusa (https://twitter.com/yusas) is always posting clips of Animal Kingdom and he seems like the nicest stallion ever. I've heard that Shanghai Bobby has a good temperament, and obviously The Player seems mild mannered. I think I read somewhere that Hansen is pretty polite for a Tapit.

Tapit was a perfect gentleman when I saw him in November. Then again, he’s no spring chicken anymore.

I have met a bunch of stallions left and right around KY, just a little background story I'm a tiny barely 100lbs kid with severe motor skill issues due to heart problems at writing moment, and I'd say Tiz the Law, Honor AP, Caravaggio (just moved to JPN), Yoshida, Algorithms (used to stand at Claiborne) and Lea are very very kind and sweet, I have pet all of them, as well as hold Tiz and Caravaggio by the lead. Ashfords and LE horses are super cool. Blame, Justify, Uncle Mo, Curlin, Vino Rosso and Cupid are also pretty chill, to pet at least. Some stallions I haven't had great experiences with are Into Mischief, Bolt d'Oro, War Front and Midnight LuteNenikikamen23 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 23, 2023 8:30 pmThis made my mind wander- who are some of the most gentle, easy-going, and kind stallions currently standing? They bring out War Front on the tours. He's been very chill every time I've seen him.

i've seen people say Tiz will let them boop his nose. his owners always said he was a total sweetie. his babies seem to have inherited his good personality as well.stelladaniella wrote: ↑Thu Jan 26, 2023 4:43 pmI have met a bunch of stallions left and right around KY, just a little background story I'm a tiny barely 100lbs kid with severe motor skill issues due to heart problems at writing moment, and I'd say Tiz the Law, Honor AP, Caravaggio (just moved to JPN), Yoshida, Algorithms (used to stand at Claiborne) and Lea are very very kind and sweet, I have pet all of them, as well as hold Tiz and Caravaggio by the lead. I had good experience w War Front and Midnight Lute. WF apparently let people hug him every time I visit the farm. It tells me that he is friendly.
ML was said to be a bit 'tough' but I had no issues with him. He allowed me to stand close to him when hes in front of his stall. Let me rub his neck and face. He seems very social and interested in everything. I even held his halter when posing for photos. He takes mints very politely.
