If he survives that, it would be a miracle.

She sold at Fasig-Tipton the same year Palice Malice was good, so she's been there quite a while.

Amazing.
Horses are such contradictory creatures. They can hurt themselves kicking their own stall, but they can also do a leap sideways/trip/flail/roll/land in a tangle like Silver Sonic and walk away from it.

He will take a rest for a while in our stable for the follow-up observation.’’

I hope Titleholder does make it to the Arc. I love his pedigree - not just Duramente as his sire, but on his dam side he has the great stamina influence, Montjeu, through Epsom Derby victor Motivator.

Jockey Kazuo Yokoyama scored his first group 1 win and joined his father and grandfather as winners in the Tenno Sho (Spring).

That's quite an achievement for the jockey family!!

grandfather: Tomio Yokoyama won the 1971 version with Mejiro Musashi(JPN)
father: Norihiro Yokoyama won the 1996 version with Sakura Laurel(JPN) and the 2004 version with Ingrandire(JPN)
son: Kazuo Yokoyama won the 2022 version with Titleholder(JPN)

Kazuo (the eldest son of Norihiro) emulated the way Norihiro had won the 2004 version, perfectly!!!
Ingrandire was also the wire-to-wire Tenno Sho Spring winner by seven lengths!!

And, as a side note, the Yokoyama family achieved the same feat in the Tenno Sho Autumn, too, when Takeshi (the third son of Norihiro) won that G1 with Efforia(JPN) last year.
