Japanese also just bought Indelible which I was guessing they would, given her family is that of Contrail in addition to Essential Quality.
Katsumi Yoshida also bought Miss Besilu for 2.2 M- great family and so I was surprised no one pushed him up the ladder further.
The yearling was a RNA for $1mill which is just so bizarre to me, but I am guessing there was no live money for maybe the last few hundred thousand of that.

I remember him well in the winners circle after Beholder's win in the Distaff vs. Songbird - May have rekindled the flame.Flanders wrote: ↑Sun Nov 08, 2020 10:20 pm I want to think that he had so much fun this year with Authentic that it rekindled his love of the racing side of the sport. Sure he still raced horses but it wasn't like the early 2000s. At some point earlier this year we discussed that in a thread, how much B. Wayne Hughes/Spendthrift had stepped away from the racing side. Going from roughly 125-150 starts a year to 25-50 (50 is pushing it). Now its November 2020 and they have the most starts, including partnerships, in probably 10 years+.

Wow. As I was watching the price climb I was thinking that a lot of money for a 6 month baby (don’t know his foaling date). Then I read this and it wasn’t enough! He’s a looker. I like his blaze. Wouldn’t mind keeping tabs on him. Is there a way to do that?CorridorZ75 wrote: ↑Sun Nov 08, 2020 10:53 pm The yearling was a RNA for $1mill which is just so bizarre to me, but I am guessing there was no live money for maybe the last few hundred thousand of that.
Also. Sam-Son.
I was a horse racing crazy kid in theirs and Kinghaven’s era. Sad.

Sam-Son's last one- Rideforacause went for $1 million.
I am old enough to remember Dance Smartly herself. As for Kinghaven, Izvestia was a favorite of mine.

Lake Villa Farm -- formerly known as Mejiro Farm which used to be the home of ''Mejiro'' horses with the champions Mejiro Asama, Mejiro Titan, Mejiro McQueen, Mejiro Ramonu, Mejiro Dober etc.Flanders wrote: ↑Sun Nov 08, 2020 9:34 pmYou are correct.CorridorZ75 wrote: ↑Sun Nov 08, 2020 9:27 pm Speaking of which, I am pretty sure Lake Villa Farm who bought Street Band for $1M is Japanese.
Lake Villa Farm took over the whole land and broodmare band of Mejiro Farm in 2011, in a technical tie-up with Katsumi Yoshida's Northern Farm, and bred 2019 Hong Kong Vase winner Glory Vase(JPN)(Deep Impact) recently.
They now have a beautiful website as well as a twitter account.
So it might not be too difficult to track Street Band and her babies.

Actually they have already posted this.

Do you know anything about the connections who purchased Dancing Rags? I love her sire and would like to keep up with her as well!

that makes me very happy. She has the textbook profile of a mare who would thrive in Japan and I know she would have been well cared for there, but I'd love that Adena family to stay in North America.CorridorZ75 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 09, 2020 2:35 pm Spendthrift just spent another 1.5M on Holy Helena and $800K on another.

I didn't really, but Rushing Fall is beautifully bred, and she's free of Sadler's Wells so I see why Coolmore would really want her. They said they plan to send her to Ireland and breed her to Galileo.Retrospectiv wrote: ↑Sun Nov 08, 2020 8:36 pmDid anyone predict her bringing mroe than Midnight Bisou?
(She'd have matched nicely with Pharoah, too. I am just glad she's not going to Justify.)
