Randy Gilbert at Shawnee Farm provided an update on Frivolous: She has progressed and is showing signs of delivery. Tonight may be the night....only time will tell. Stay updated & tuned in to see if we'll have our first colt of Foal Patrol Season 2!

She's not in her box...should we be concerned?

I don't totally understand this message when we're staring at what looks like a stall without a mare in it, but apparently we don't have to worry about Frivolous.

The staff at Shawnee Farm provided an update on the stall location for Frivolous:

This evening we had another mare foal. We have a primary foaling stall which has the camera in it and a secondary foaling stall. Following our farm protocol, if the primary stall is available, we foal the mares in that stall. If Frivolous foals tonight, she will be leaving her stall and going to the secondary foaling stall and it will not have a live video feed of her delivery. We will do our best to record her foaling and will provide an update as soon as possible.

A daughter of Deep Impact named Fraulein had a California Chrome colt on April 2, 2019 in Kentucky. Fraulein is out of G1 winner Lady Joanne, a half sister to Shackleford. They are out of the 2011 Broodmare of the Year Oatsee.

We have a little #Cupid flying around the farm and now everyone is falling in love! This sweet filly from the first crop of Coolmore America's Grade 1 winner Cupid, by Tapit, was born on the Ides of March, delivered by our Cryptoclearance mare One in a Romp, a half sister to our G1-placed SW Pinch Pie. Their second dam is a half sister to Breeders' Cup Classic winner and sire Volponi. This is a running family and this little filly, who is turning gray, like her sire, already loves to run

Not wanting to do back-to-back posts, I hope @Curtis sees this news. A mare named Silver Splendor had a colt by California Chrome about three weeks ago. Has she not gone out since she foaled? If not there are some reasons. It very well could be the colt has broken ribs
