That's a heck of a set of hindquarters on Practical Joke. Looks like a sprinter/miler type for sure.
Not in love with Classic Empire. Can't put my finger on exactly why...his parts just don't seem to create a harmonious whole to my eyes. :?

He looks exactly like other PotNs from the neck back, however he has a slightly smaller chest than pharoah and is longer necked with very little muscling which I think gives the impression of being slightly ewe-necked. And yet at the same time his neck looks low-set. Try covering his head/first half of his neck. Love his legs and angles, the classic PotN stamp of his wide shoulder, strong hip.

I like Practical Joke's engine, I don't like his loin or his back though. I think he's slightly more downhill than I'd like and his body seems weirdly long. Like his front doesn't go with his middle doesn't go with his hind end. (I do like his chest though)

Churchill is pretty gorgeous. Except that front left leg looks odd. Is he over at the knee? :?

It looks to me like he was moving that leg forward

He's a little over at the knee, you can tell by both front legs, they both have slightly off angles. (Neither leg is properly aligned from the top through the knee to the pasterns and the feet). But since being over at the knee can be the result of the stress of racing and training it isn't necessarily a big deal/genetic.

Most of the Japanese stallions are stunning (esp. Maurice, Lord Kanaloa & Epiphanaeia). Duramante's forelegs, however, don't look wonderful. IIRC, he had a history of injury. Wonder if those legs had anything to do with that? :?
Just a Way is too long-bodied and too shallow through the chest for my tastes...although that didn't seem to keep him from running really well. ;) :P

To be fair Lanes' End hides the hooves of all their horses. Coolmore, Claiborne and Airdrie do it too. It's a pet peeve of mine.

Both Duramente and Epiphaneia have terrible front legs. Maurice, Creator, Novellist and Lord Kanaloa have the best ones out of the bunch.
Japan sure has some handsome studs regardless of their legs though!
