So proud of KJ...even if all those "Kitten" names do drive some people a little crazy. :P
Agreed. I'm always curious to see how Kitten's Joy is received in countries where turf racing is predominant.

Her dam (by Sunday Silence) is no slouch either...

Orfevre's little sister Dernier Or (JPN) - which if my French is correct means along the lines of "Last Gold" since she was Oriental Art's final foal  and is sort of doubly poignant given the loss of Stay Gold that same year - debuts Sunday (which is tonight US)

Last Gold is a very cute name. Hope she is as golden for them on the track as she is in her coat.

She & Orfevre certainly take after their dam with their gorgeous chestnut & flaxen coats; Dream Journey is bay like his sire. 8-)

Richmond Street (Street Cry x Where's Bailey) just won a stretch-long duel to take the 3rd at Kentucky Downs, a 1 5/16 allowance...with a $140,000 purse. The four-year-old colt looked good, and I hope he can find a nice, long turf stakes next.
Not sure how to describe his relationship with Zenyatta - both by Street Cry, while he's out of a half sister to Zen. :?

Oscar Nominated (Kitten's Joy x Devine Actress/Theatrical), the 4yo full brother to Oscar Performance, just won the G3, 1 1/2-mile, $600,000 Kentucky Turf Cup at Kentucky Downs. Really dug in, dug down deep and held on to win by a head over Postulation and Muqtaser.
Devine Actress is a pretty darn good broodmare. 8-)

Irish Oaks winner Moonstone had her fifth SW from five runners when Nelson, her 2 yo colt by Frankel, won a G3 at Leopardstown today.

Quite remarkable. She has a few sisters who were quite accomplished on the racecourse but they've been disappointments as producers.

Dernier Or is a tyny filly -- cute, but a little bit handful, too.

Dernier Or definitely has the temperament of her big bro, and seemingly his intense desire to run - she was under a pretty snug hold most of the way! And very light at 408kg (I saw one other filly was only 380kg?!? dunno how she finished though)... yet requiring two handlers.

Thanks for the good-quality replays, tachyon! I'm excited to follow these two.

Oddly enough, Danon Cherry looks a little bit like Lady Eli to me.
