I wonder why they don't try him in a dirt race. I mean, chances are, he'd do poorly but I don't think he has run on anything but turf. Turf obviously isn't working out.Sparrow Castle wrote:<Sigh> Six starts, best finish was a 6th.
Never So Few (IRE) finished 8th beaten by 6 1/4 lengths, on August 22, 2016, at SARATOGA in Race 2.

Revved Up (3yo c, Candy Ride - Storm Flag Flying) just won R5 at Saratoga. His 2yo half-brother Strident (Street Cry) finished off the board in R1.

Life's Blessings (Tapit x Indian Blessing) just won the 9th at Del Mar, a 5 1/2 furlong MSW. She broke a bit slow, but then moved up quickly to take the lead coming into the stretch. She's not very big, but she sure is fast.
Oh, and she's trained by Baffert.

She doesn't look very big...unless that rider is a tall man.

Might be that she is also 2. They grow til they're 5.Izvestia wrote:First foals sometimes aren't big, and mom isn't overly big (Tapit throws to the mare, I think). She's also lower because she's stretched out. Lots of exercise riders are taller skinny guys.
I think she looks average.

Pope spends all this money and gives her horses to Ralph Nicks? This guy has never won anything and lost his big client Team Valor for cheating with a calcium injection. Why not just use Mott instead of his assistant. Or give the horse to Grace's trainer.Sparrow Castle wrote:Teresa Genaro @BklynBckstretch

If Timber Town breaks all them Jimmy Jerkins assistant is one of their guys. Wouldn't he make sense? But Ralph Nicks?

Made You Look won easily, drawing away once he got running room. He was boxed in on the rail for much of the race. Gemologister was in front for quite a while, but faded.mariasmon wrote:Serena's Song's grandson Made You Look (More Than Ready/Night and Day) is going soon in the With Anticipation at SAR. Czarina (Magnier Tabor Zayat), a $1,500,000 purchase, debuts in the first at Del Mar Saturday. At a mile. By Bernardini x Pilfer, half to To Honor and Serve, Angela Renee, and Elnaawi.
I ran marathons. I saw the Taj Mahal by Moonlight. I drove Highway 1 in a convertible. I petted Zenyatta.

http://www.paulickreport.com/news/thoro ... icipation/Pletcher said the Grade 3 Pilgrim at Belmont Oct. 1 could be Made You Look's next start, though added he might train the colt up to the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf without another race.

I was wondering if he'd try dirt. Sounds like no, at least this year.Sparrow Castle wrote:Serena’s Song Grandson Made You Look Takes With Anticipationmariasmon wrote:Made You Look won easily, drawing away once he got running room.
