Nice! I somehow missed what the Malones were planning to do with Bridlewood. Just a little retirement home in Florida. What a fortunate couple they are...and married more than 50 years!Northport wrote:Embellishment (Galileo x Sophisticat [Storm Cat X Serena's Song]) topped the opening session at the Arqana December Breeding Stock Sale today, selling for €900,000 to Bridlewood.

http://www.bridlewoodfarm.com/about-us.htmlWhile the Malones credit their Irish heritage for their quest to acquire land, the purchase of Bridlewood hit a little closer to home. "We're approaching retirement age, and we were originally thinking of a retirement place," John told The Blood-Horse. And the thrill and excitement of the Thoroughbred industry, coupled with the opportunity to preserve such a famed operation, was an opportunity too good to pass up.

Had a feeling she would end up back over here- I look forward to her babies. They have Serena's Melody, the Tapit mentioned in the article, half to Honor Code.Northport wrote:Embellishment (Galileo x Sophisticat [Storm Cat X Serena's Song]) topped the opening session at the Arqana December Breeding Stock Sale today, selling for €900,000 to Bridlewood.

Cupid, a half to Ashley's Kitten, Heart Ashley, and Indianapolis, debuts Sunday at Los Al for Baffert. A $900,000 Keeneland November yearling for Magnier Tabor et al. Flashy works, surprise.
I ran marathons. I saw the Taj Mahal by Moonlight. I drove Highway 1 in a convertible. I petted Zenyatta.

I'd love to know what happened to the other Indianapolis who ran in the last few years, the half-brother to Einstein. He was really good looking, but slow. He ended up in claimers and last I heard of him was 2011.BaroqueAgain1 wrote:Whatever happened to Indianapolis?

From the DRF. Destin is by Giant's Causeway out of Dream of Summer.Destin tries to stay perfect
Destin, a one-length winner of his career debut this fall at Belmont Park, will be favored to remain unbeaten when he faces seven other 2-year-olds going a mile under first-level allowance conditions in Friday’s $41,000 feature.
Destin, trained by Todd Pletcher, will face a group that includes the stakes-placed pair of Brighton Lane and Sumpter, the promising Pilot House, and Golden Ray, who is the only multiple winner in the lineup.

He remains undefeated, 2 for 2, and becomes a legitimate candidate for the 2yo championship.
His dam Air Messiah, worthy opponent for Cesario, died in a paddock accident last year.
