The "Fleet Feet" ~ Turkey Trot ~ Throw Down


In honor of our Thanksgiving Holiday....Pre Feast Pig Out
We are having our 6th Annual Tenacious Twisted Turkey Trot .....



Most of America is focused on the Five -F's- of Thanksgiving:
Family ~ Friends ~ Food ~ Football ~ and Fun
....(NOT necessarily in that order)

And with that in mind,
We will once again

**There are a couple notable Heavy Hitters missing from our line-up today:

Real Quiet ~ The Silencer ~
It seems he started his Holiday Celebrating a little early
and was deemed unfit to race today.
Last seen drinking and gambling in the casino till the wee hours.



There were also rumors that Peeptoad was hopping around the track.....
but she never made her way to the gate.



We would also like to Welcome a Maiden New Comer:

This event is NOT just about who crosses the wire first!!
There are also several other challenges to be determined.

Maiden "Special Weight" --(gotta fit in that dress!!)......
Our contestants today are competing for a Bright Neon Orange
Taffeta -&- Tulle Bridesmaid Gown..... with plenty of bows and ruffles!!!!

Sun Glasses to cut down the day-glow glare

Who will be Flower-Bearer?

Which Sneaky / Stealthy contestant will "Steal the Precious"

Then there's the highly coveted and sought after....

We are gathered here today to witness
This Befuddling, Bewildering and Beddazling event.

The music starts and 9 eager contestants are entering the track ...
Sashaying out onto the turf like runway models hitting the catwalk.
Glammed up and well Coiffed, from Mane to Tail
Everyone looking Fierce and Fabulous




They are entering the gate ready to race down the aisle
....And They're Off.....




Dusty ~ Tiger Dancer -&- Ruffian are out for an early lead
Cruzan ... Not far behind

The rest of the pack are jockeying for position ---
And there seems to be some less than appropriate behavior:
Clipping, whipping, tripping, boxing, biting, bolting,
General Mayhem and Interference.....

It's just a free for all... :headshake:

Catalina brought back her "Special Equipment" --
~ "Strap On Rockets"??
.... Not sure this will be approved.


Blunny is also sporting some kind of battery pack
Not sure what this is for....
But on this day, it seems almost anything goes

Cruzan, out on his Maiden Voyage,
Has taken over the lead...
With Command and Determination

Catalina is next
Just ahead of Tiger Dancer
Then Raven ~ Thunder Cat ~ Dusty
CigarShop

Ruffian and Blunny have dropped way back


~TOP OF STRETCH~

Cruzan Is getting leg weary
His lead is diminishing
Catalina is gaining ground with every stride

Tiger Dancer is staying right there just behind Catalina

It's a way back to the rest of The Pack

And Blunny E. Bunny has lost his Battery Charge
And is coasting along in last
He may have eaten too many of
Ruffian's "Special Brownies"



Cruzan starting to look very tired
Catalina looking stronger with every stride

Cigarshop right at the tail of Tiger Dancer
And though his jockey is urging him on
Cigar seems content to remain behind Tiger
And admire the view


In the home stretch... Cruzan -&- Catalina still lead
But Tiger Dancer starts to roar and finds a little more in the tank
{She heard rumors of a goose on the loose, But
As it turned out ... It was just Raven}
Who jumps a shadow and falls a bit behind

And The Pack..... are playing Catch Up... Battling On
And are still engaged in less than appropriate behavior.


The Stewards have so many objections...
Lines have been drawn, Penalties called, Flags have been thrown
And even a Glove was tossed about demanding a duel
So, They have thrown in their towels and
Have headed to the bar for several strong, stiff drinks!!!

Now the contestants are
heading towards the Alter / Finish Line....

Coming down the aisle, Smoking all the way ....in 4th Place
The "Precious Ring" Thief = CIGARSHOP
Seems to be HOT and LATHERED UP...
Probably due to Chasing Tiger's Tail
