Hope they do this mare real justice. I fell in love with her story from a snippet of the book, More Than Courage. Read this as a kid and no doubt, many of you did too. Paul Giamatti and Ed Harris star, among others. I'll have to grab the link when I get around to it but you can find it just with a simple search. No release date yet as per Wikipedia. This mare is an icon in Hungary and deservedly so.
Give me that short lead, give me that win by a nose, get them all home safely!

It's nice they're making a movie about her now. She deserves as many accolades as can be heaped upon her. She would carry the weight easily, too.

They announced it a year or two ago it's been slow to get to production I'm guessing.
They also had a play about her touring Hungary the last two-three years if I'm not mistaken.
Although I suppose, relevant to the breeding section, she was an other Excellent mare who seemed to produce good foals, both on the track and in the shed. At one point I had fun trying to track down where her living descendants were today.

Wasn't Camelot tail-female from her? <checks> Yep.
I've got these mares, first descended from Kincsem's dam and then Kincsem herself, in my project. Wikipedia indicates lots of Eastern European classic winners hail from her female line, but I only listed mares that produced two or more such horses.
