Love the tail color on hip number 1
There are other things that I could do, but there's really nothing that I love as much as horse racing. Chantal Sutherland

Hip 65 is a filly out of Gorella. So cute!
And, look how butt high the colt out of Original Spin is! (Hip 120).
I love the hind end of the '14 colt out of May Day Rose (hip 339).
Hip 395 out of French Riviera is a beauty, all legs.
Thanks for sharing, nice to see the offspring of some of the mares over there.

What really floored me is how many mares Shadai and Northern Farm have. 600 and 670, respectivelytachyon wrote:-- from TDN (July 13) p13 - p14
JEWELS OF SHADAI
Michele MacDonald visits SHADAI Farm (Teruya Yoshida).

No wonder they lay down the cash to buy stallions. If they sent 600 mares per year to even a $10k stallion, you're talking $6 million in fees. Just cheaper to spend $30 mil on high-class stallion prospectsmariasmon wrote:What really floored me is how many mares Shadai and Northern Farm have. 600 and 670, respectively

Hip 405 colt was purchased by Tokyo Thoroughbred Club (owner Hidetoshi Yomamoto raced Casino Drive a fer years ago) for JPY 30,000,000 (US$ 294,118).carole wrote:Gosh he's beautiful!
Does anyone know how much for and who bought the Sea The Stars x Ballroom foal? Also, any recent pictures of that one? The one in the catalogue seemed pretty old
I may find a pick of his later.
But you may also find him in the video below --- it's a very long video (9:28.10) of the entire foals session today. But you may fast-forward to 5:19.00 to see hip 405.

Thanks so much tachyon! Thought the colt was pretty attractive, his hind was definitely taller than his front, he seems to be a foal who will develop pretty quickly, might be a nice pinhook though I'm sure the owners are more about racing.tachyon wrote:Hip 405 colt was purchased by Tokyo Thoroughbred Club (owner Hidetoshi Yomamoto raced Casino Drive a fer years ago) for JPY 30,000,000 (US$ 294,118).carole wrote:Gosh he's beautiful!
