She does look wonderful. They take great care of her.

Only clues to her age are the indentations above her eyes, not sure if there's a proper name for them but they only appear on old horses. She's in great condition.

Wondering of Uma or Tachyon can make sense of this tweet about Marble Cake? I don't see a produce record for yet though she's 8 now.

Google translated it for me as "I am struggling with my first childcare." Perhaps that means she is having trouble carrying to term?

JBIS lists her as having foaled a bay filly by Epiphaneia this year.

She's in the JRHA Select Sale, in tomorrow's session.

Also FWIW Marble Cake raced through the end of 2017, when she would have been six. So it's not like she's had a lot of time to be producing foals yet. 8-)

By the looks of the images of Marble Cake it appears she's in the sale as well.

"Marble cake.I'm struggling to raise my first child. The unique butyrate pattern has not changed.I was doing fine."
was another translation i got from a different translator. maybe her current on the ground foal was just a lot of work?
edit; googled butyrate, it's some kind of fatty acid produced in the gut, i guess? maybe the foal has health issues? or she herself does? def looking for uma or tach here.

It's a foal and yearling sale. The dams of the foals accompany them to the sale.

I think we might be reading too much into the rough translation... I've seen "I was fine" show up in a lot of google translations when I'm looking at Northern Horse Park tweets, etc.

In this particular case my guesstimation is that Marble Cake (as a lot of the mares bored out of their minds at the sale) was antsy during the viewing hours and the "unique pattern" part is just remarking that the foal is solid bay and doesn't have the dominant white. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Or it could very well be she is just a protective first time mother who is finding it hard that people look at her foal and touch it?

Loved seeing our American mares posted by Japanese posters! Any I can follow via facebook?

Is that true that mares can be seen at the stud farm?

D'Wildcat Speed, Cavorting, Glinda The Good and Dreaming of Julie with their foals:

I never read this about Cavorting before but I guess that's probably how she got her name.
“When she was first bought as a weanling here, we were loading her up at the sales ground, and she somehow gracefully jumped out of the back of the van, and managed to take that talent to the farm, and jumped out of a paddock, which transitioned well to the racetrack.”
