I know horses generally do OK in cold weather, but doesn't a 21-year-old champion deserve a bit more shelter than an open shed?

I'm guessing she also has an inside stall and this is while she's turned out. Man, I can't believe she's 21.

What's her age and record got to do with it?

She's a horse. And one that appears to have a nice, thick winter coat. I'm sure when the weather is nasty and cold she is brought inside, but I'd also wager she enjoys her turnout time. ;)

I just saw that above post on FB.

Does anyone know when or how Coolmore ended up with On Parade?? *Edit - I guess at Keeneland Nov 2015...
Surprised to see her in the retired field at 20 too.

I can assure you that Sam-Son has a very nice facility in Milton and their retirees (both racehorses and jumpers) are well taken care of.

Per eFive Racing on Twitter, New Money Honey has checked in foal to War Front. She's carrying a filly.

I thought when you said "low end auction" you meant like New Holland or something but that just looks like a normal Thoroughbred sale? It's a step below Keeneland, sure, but there are a lot of decent state-bred horses in there that would get 5 figures and I doubt it's worth it for "kill buyers" to show up.

In today's edition of "News to Me", I just learned that Airdrie is owned by Kentucky's former governor.

The great Serena's Song, now 27 and enjoying life at Denali Stud. Denali's message on their Facebook page says, "Our lovely queen Serena’s Song enjoying the sunshine, her fan visits and wonderful snacks this morning. Can you believe she’s 27?"

From the photo it looks like she can pass for any age (above 3).

Yeah, his family has owned Airdrie for quite a while now.
