I can't keep up with all of the foals born at Woodford, but they had an especially big colt born last night. Biondetti X Magical Mist

We're calling him King Kong, and he weighed in at 157 pounds!! Magical Mist (mom) has had some big foals before at 150 and 152 pounds so we were somewhat expecting it. Plus she was 15 days overdue!! This Biondetti colt's birth gave a scare to everyone, but both mare and foal are alive and doing well!

A day after Collected impressed with his comeback win in the Santana Mile Stakes at Santa Anita Park, his dam, Helena Bay, produced a big, strongly made son of Hard Spun for us at Runnymede making it a truly wonderful weekend. Both Collected, a MGSW and earner of nearly $500,000, and this colt look to have great futures in front of them! By Johannesburg, Helena Bay has a yearling colt by Lookin At Lucky and is due to be bred back to Triple Crown winner American Pharoah
