Melbourne Cup madness results every year. It's more of a novelty race in my opinion.

Knights Choice- 100/1
Warp Speed - 25/1
Okita Soushi - 18/1
Zardozi - 11/1

Knight's Choice is by a dual G1 winning sprinter out of a More Than Ready mare!
Ask me any questions you have about New Zealand and Australia racing

After finishing 14th in the 2023 Melbourne Cup, and 11th in the 2024 edition, Vauban has been sold to Australian Bloodstock for A$2,000,000. He will remain in Australia and be trained by Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott.

Well, this is new:

King Kirk, a promising 2-year-old in Australia, was unable to be saved when he panicked during a routine swimming exercise in a pool at Randwick Racecourse, reports racenet.com.au. The son of Ole Kirk had completed a barrier trial (a type of timed workout in Australia) earlier that day, and swimming in the pool was part of his typical recovery from that activity.

No matter how much you try to take care of them, horses will find a way to hurt themselves. Poor guy.
