Yay Orfevre!

I think that Buena Vista still has a good chance to be inducted into the Hall of Fame in the coming years.
But she has some serious rivals in this race.
Like Buena Vista, Lord Kanaloa fell short this year.

-- Hall of Fame voting result 2015
(To be inducted, a horse must gather over 75% voters. Each voter has four votes.)

Orfevre 95.9% (inducted)
Lord Kanaloa 60.7%
Buena Vista 59.6%
Special Week 45.9%
Victoire Pisa 25.5%
Daiwa Scarlet 19.9%
King Kamehameha 8.7%
Agnes Digital 8.2%
Air Groove 5.6%
Stay Gold 5.1%
Silence Suzuka 4.1%
------
------

and...
Gentildonna and Just a Way will become eligible from next year voting.
Gold Ship will become eligible from 2017 voting. (as he is expected to retire from racing this year)

Yes, Rouge Buck has been sidelined since her runner-up finish in the Oaks, Flanders.
She had a fever in mid August when she was preparing for her start in the G2 Sapporo Kinen Aug 23.
According to the most recent statement from her owner (Carrot club), she will be back on the worktab shortly to run in the G1 QE2 Cup on Nov 15.
Let's now hope that she can recover well from her minor setback!

Pity, she was not named ''Minnie Queen'' to be called Minnie-chan, haha.

All horses owned by Ms Mizuki Noda have been named with ''Mikki'', male or female;

Mikki Isle
Mikki Queen
Mikki Dream
Mikki Pumpkin
Mikki Love Song
Mikki Natural
Mikki One
Mikki Cheerful
Mikki White
Mikki Digital
Mikki Muscat
Mikki Marche

But she hasn't had Mikki Chan yet.

So...he passed a gate test where there were NO other horses loaded next to him? Not a real "test," IMHO. :?
My feeling is that, when he's in a gate crowded with a bunch of other testosterone-fueled studs, his "fight" instinct kicks in before his "flight" does. And he rears to show his readiness to do battle. ;)
Let's hope that he doesn't do that in his last race, as I'd love to see him go out on a win.

Lovely Day(JPN), 2010H. King Kamehameha(JPN) x Popcorn Jazz(JPN) by Dance in the Dark(JPN), captured his second G1 victory in the Tenno Sho Autumn 2000m turf at Tokyo on Nov 1st 2015 following his Takarazuka Kinen win in June and extended his grade-race winning streak to four.
The late blooming son of King Kamehameha became the 12th horse in histrory to win six graded JRA flat races in a calendar year (he has won six races from eight starts so far this year).
And he now emerges one of the major candidates for the JRA horse of the year along with the dual classic winner Duramente(JPN), 2012C. King Kamehameha(JPN) x Admire Groove(JPN) by Sunday Silence(USA), who has been sidelined due to injury since his Japanese Derby win.

Lovely Day(JPN) is most likely to be pointed to the G1 Japan Cup next, while the runner-up Stephanos(JPN)(Deep Impact) might ship to the G1 Hong Kong Cup.
