So far, we have only 6 out of 15 contest members posting picks.

Be sure to either post your picks to the forum or e-mail me (or whomever else) prior to the running of the first race which is 12:20 a.m. edt. Pick a horse and 2 alternates in 3 of the 7 races. Be sure to list Race name & # and # and names of all horses - picks and alternates.

Remember also - if your 3 picks hit the board, you double your money. Next Saturday is the end of the contest. This is the week you can boost your virtual earnings and come away with bragging rights and a nice prize.

Good luck!

Sorry El Prado, GreenasGrass, PJMIII. Senator L, slewobarny, and Somnambulist that you couldn't make it to the party. :(

I know it's closed but I did not see this topic discussed elsewhere and did not want to make a mess.

Hear The Footsteps in the Mohawk at Belmont would be an interesting price. He's done really well once Jose Ortiz took the reins and his assigned post position should provide him with a ground-saving trip.
I don't think the horses can read the toteboard.

Very nice by all today, just missed hitting the board in my first race, and another hundred feet in my last... the Big Grey boy was coming! Great day of racing all around.

The following are the wager tallies after the running of the NY Bred Stakes races today. -

Unfortunately, no one got to double their money. I'm sure a lot of you who hit the board in 2 out of 3 races are saying "DAMN" (or worse).

GotaDunQH - $1,080 + $240 = $1,320

neighhey - $907 + $316 = $1,213

serenassong - $934 + $251 = $1,185

Ballerina $553 + $266 = $819

Real Quiet - $634 + $135 = $769

Peeptoad - $279 + $162 = $441

El Prado - $426 DNP

Somnambulist - $416 DNP

Catalina - $194 + $196 = $390

GreenasGrass - $315 DNP

PJMIII - $255 DNP

Raven - $206 + $24 = $230

Senator L - $190 DNP

Slewobarny - $115 DNP

Dusty - $23 + $47 = $70

Our next and last wagering in this contest is next Saturday, October 26th. Pick a horse and 2 alternates in one of the two stakes races on the card -

Turnback the Alarm

There's a stakes race today that I didn't become aware of until yesterday. We'll have to skip it.

There are also 3 stakes races on Thursday.

http://www.equibase.com/static/entry/BE ... A-EQB.html

The Island Sun - Race 4
The Punkin' Pie - Race 6 (My Miss Aurelia is entered)
The Basket Weave - Race 9

I'm hesitant to include them in the contest because a good number of our contest participants are locked out.

So let's do this. If the forum is "fixed" before Thursday, we'll include Thursday's stakes. If not "fixed", we won't.

More than likely, from what I am getting from the FB page, will not happen, so it looks like we will have to try and do the Saturday thing. However, you never know.

Due to TBC still not running 100%, we will NOT be doing the Thursday stakes races.

Race card for Saturday -

http://www.equibase.com/static/entry/BE ... A-EQB.html

There are two stakes races -

Race 8 - BOLD RULER (GIII)

and

Race 9 - TURNBACK THE ALARM (GIII)

Usual rules - pick a horse and 2 alternates in one of the two races. List name of race and program # and name of horse and the two alternates. 1st race goes off at 12:50 P.M. EDT, so virtual wagers have to be in prior to that time.

Good luck everyone.
