Mshawish to Taylor Made in 2017
http://www.thoroughbreddailynews.com/ms ... e-in-2017/Mshawish will continue to be owned and campaigned by Al Shaqab and Pletcher throughout 2016, with his year-end goal being the $5-million GI Breeders’ Cup Classic at Santa Anita. The deal calls for a 50% syndication of Mshawish upon retirement, with Al Shaqab retaining the other 50% of the horse.

Mshawish is a fabulous stallion prospect. Sound. G1 winner on 2 surfaces. Good speed. By a "sexy" stallion, with a stellar female family (past 1st dam). Good looking.
I think this was a good move by Taylor Made.
The interesting thing is that MDO is sort of known as a filly sire, and it seems this female family has a handful of classy female runners - Halfbridled, Lu Ravi, Ravi's Song, Bayou Breeze, Dusty Gloves, At the Half.
Interesting to see what Mshawish does as a sire.

Somehow I missed that his dam is a half-sister to Lu Ravi -- she was a classy, super consistent runner.Izvestia wrote:Mshawish is a fabulous stallion prospect. Sound. G1 winner on 2 surfaces. Good speed. By a "sexy" stallion, with a stellar female family (past 1st dam). Good looking.

Wonderful to see Indy looking so good at the age of 27. I love that horse so much. Hard to realize that so many years have passed since I saw him in the saddling paddocks at Hollywood Park and Santa Anita.Sparrow Castle wrote:Melissa Bauer-Herzog @mbauerherzog

What is ABRLive? I would greatly enjoy any story about Indy.

America's Best Racing is the entity created and funded by the Jockey Club to promote racing. Melissa writes for ABRLive and blogs on All Equine All The Time, which is mostly bloodstock news. I haven't seen that the AP Indy story has come out yet.Ridan_Remembered wrote:What is ABRLive? I would greatly enjoy any story about Indy.

I can only find 3 of the offspring who have actually been given names, who knows what happened to the rest.

Why would they do that?, no interest or not - that is way too close. I've seen it more in the Arab world. IIRC, wasn't there a father bred to his daughter (TB)?

This morning @CornerstoneStud announce sad loss of Hussonet who died following a stroke
Mr. Prospector - Sacahuista, by Raja BabaVale Hussonet
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of former Australian Champion Sire HUSSONET to a stroke this morning (21st March 2016).
Being born in 1991 he has had an amazing life… racing in the USA and standing at stud in South America, transferring to Arrowfield Stud in New South Wales in 2003, before spending the past five years at Cornerstone Stud in the Barossa Valley, South Australia.
HUSSONET’s tally of 30 Group One winners (and counting) is a truly amazing achievement. His legacy will continue through his daughters and sons at stud. His reputation as a top class broodmare sire is quickly gaining momentum.
The team at Cornerstone Stud we would like to thank shareholders and clients very much for their support of HUSSONET and the Stud over the past few years.
Whilst he has lived to a great age of twenty-five, it is always difficult saying goodbye to a legend who was so dear to all our hearts here at Cornerstone.
We welcome visitors to call by the farm any time if you wish to pay your respects to a very special horse.
1991, ch, entered stud 1994.
