I also think she should have an asterix beside her sale price when adding her to all time yearling prices lists, as the buyer really only paid about $6.66 million given she already owned a third of her...

I do appreciate him making it a mission to keep good mares in the US. What a bummer it would have been to lose Puca. Also, parading Goodnight Olive around Keeneland for fans was really cool! If I didn't live all the way out in North Carolina I would have loved to have gone, lol.

I've been meaning to ask, when is the last time an owner brought their prized mare back to the track, in foal, to meet fans? I would imagine it's quite risky to do, which is why farms will host events to see Rachel, Zenyatta, Beholder, etc. Just curious!

Her family is incredibly wealthy. She is the daughter of Bob Ingham, founder and former owner of legendary Australian farm Woodlands Stud. They had solid magenta silks and owned and bred a little horse called Lonhro (and his sire, Octagonal). The family made its fortune in the poultry industry.

Woodlands Stud and all of its bloodstock, Lonhro included, were purchased by Darley for $500,000,000 in 2008.
