Who's going to win the Hyacinth tomorrow? I would absolutely LOVE to see a descendent of Sunday Silence come back here and win the Kentucky Derby! :D

Of the Sunday Silence descendants, I personally look forward to seeing what Crown Pride(JPN) shows in today's Hyacinth Stakes.
I like his pedigree.

What a win by Cafe Pharoah! Hard to believe this repeat was his first win since last year's Feb. Stakes. I wonder if we might actually see his connections take the BC up on their offer to pay their way to Keeneland this fall. After the fillies' fabulous success this past BC, are the Japanese going to be even more likely to return with a runner like Cafe Pharoah?
Great run by Sodashi to stay on for third. <3

Yes, Cafe Pharoah was awesome and Sodashi ran a great third!!!

Post-race comments from CP's connections:

Koichi Nishikawa (owner)
''That was a perfect race. I felt he would win it before they turned for home. Yuichi Fukunaga gave him a great ride, too.
We will eye overseas trips going forward. I will talk to Noriyuki Hori (trainer)''

Noriyuki Hori (trainer)
''I've got to check up how he comes out of the race first. Then, I will talk to the owner about our many options. He has been registered for the DWC. The BC Classic is a possibility, too.''

So awesome Cafe Pharoah won! Also great that Sodashi checked in third. Hopefully both have very productive years.

I think it would be neat if they both came over for the BC.

Nice!
I ran marathons. I saw the Taj Mahal by Moonlight. I drove Highway 1 in a convertible. I petted Zenyatta.

I wonder if Cafe Pharoah can run in the dirt mile instead of the Classic since he may prefer shorter distances?

Yes, I suspect that Cafe Pharoah is a horse who shows his best going a mile, too.
But if ships to the US for the BC Days in Autumn, I believe that he will be aimed at the biggest race.
I personally would love to see him run in the Met Mile before that.

Tachyon, there is twitter account, yamiguchistable, that shows videos of two year olds in training up the inclined inside training track. There is a series of numbers at the top of each tweet above the horses breeding. Do you know what these signify?

These numbers are sectional times per furlong.

Thanks for getting back to me. I thought so, but then I saw some in the hundreds, so I was confused.

You are welcome!
Yeah those three-digit numbers were confusing!
But we can't blame Mr Yamaguchi for that inconsistency.
His updates on his horses are very informative and fun to follow. :D
