Per Bloodhorse's Stallion Register, he's a bay, and in the photo on his page, you can see that his tail is black.

Kylie is tiny, so Frankel really appears to be on the smaller side. He always looked so imposing on the screen and in his races.

Maybe everyone else is up on the times and visits the Lanes End website more, but I missed this one until today. Not quite a headshot, but a casual photo of one big pony. It looks like he was photoshopped in and resized to be too large.
