None of these won.Starine wrote:From the DRF, on the eighth race at Gulfstream on Sunday:
Among the field of 13 are first-time starters Pin Up, a Tapit filly whose dam, Cara Rafaela, produced the great racehorse and sire Bernardini; Regia Marina, a Medaglia d’Oro filly whose dam, Fleet Lady, produced 2008 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile winner Midshipman; and Fast Moon, a fast-working first foal from a mare whose female line includes Inside Information and Educated Risk.
Also, Spirit, whose unraced dam is a half-sister to Dream Rush; Bridle Fashion, whose unraced dam is a half-sister to Eddington; Fine Instincts, whose second dam produced Archers Bay and Nashinda; Delightful Melody, a Tapit filly whose dam, Bending Strings, earned $870,612; Chiding, whose dam, Sangrita, was a graded winner and a half-sister to Offlee Wild; and Casco Passage, a Medaglia d’Oro filly from one of those long-standing Phipps/Janney equine families dotted with stakes winners.

She was 2nd. Spark won and she's out of a full sister to Monarchos. Thepartyneverends was 3rd and she's out of a half sister to Adieu.mimi6920 wrote:Race 2 at Gulfstream: Lots of Chocolate (Mineshaft-Miss Doolittle, thus a full sister to Dialed In)
Yeah I thought Z Besha's close was VERY impressive. I think he is one to watch going forward for the Derby. When he decided to actually run, he was just closing like a freight train. Big Hat Charlie was 4th (Indian Charlie half to Malibu Moon)BaroqueAgain1 wrote:I watched that race, and Z Besha was way at the back of the field...made up 20-25 lengths to finish third. Was charging down the stretch with a Euro-style turn-of-foot. Going to be very interested to see how he does in his next out.
