I don't read enough Racing Post articles to know if this is commonplace and the thing they always do. I do know its happened before though, specifically last year's Irish Derby when a Coolmore horse, Sherpa, brokedown. The horse wasn't even mentioned in the post race article about the race.

I know UK racing faces a lot of public scrutiny and criticism from animal rights entities, but trying to gloss over breakdowns doesn't work well, IMHO. Ignoring it doesn't make something not exist.

At the Curragh, Romantic Proposal won the Flying Five S (G1) and Love was beaten in the Blandford S (G2) by La Petite Coco.

The Prix Vermeille and Flying Five went off at the same time—so it happens over there, too. Very frustrating. At least one was a sprint and you could watch most of the other.

O'Brien has a very high opinion of the horse, and I don't disagree. He has been impressive in the races I've watched and I'm sorry we won't get to see him in the Arc or even the BC Turf.
