Imagining is entered in the Manhattan (G1) at Belmont on Saturday, as is former Phipps horse Boisterous. Ragtime is entered in R13, an AOC. Sadly, the family does not have any runners in the Ogden Phipps H (G1) this year.

Mr. Speaker came bursting through along the hedge to win the G1 $1.25 million Belmont Derby over the Aiden O'Brien-trained Adelaide. Go Shug!

That was fun to watch, looking forward to Mr Speaker's next. Too bad Norembega didn't fire in the Suburban.

Nice Win by Mr. Speaker over a very good field Reflecting running in next Saturday's Bowling Green. First of the 2 year-olds, Security Risk (colt by War Front - Smuggler) goes in Friday's 4th race.

Face the Music (Stormy Atlantic - Voyage) in race 3

Fire Away (War Front - Salute) half to Mr. Speaker in race 5

I would have named a horse with a pedigree like Stormy Atlantic - Voyage maybe Dramamine instead of Face the Music. :)

They tried to name him Storming but the name was already in use.

Thanks Flanders. Still think Dramamine would have been a clever name.

Face the Music showed some promise finishing second. Fire Away fired a dud, beating only one horse. Might be heading for the turf next race.

As per Steve Haskin, Mr. Speaker is being considered for the Travers: http://cs.bloodhorse.com/blogs/horse-ra ... eaker.aspx

Mr Speaker worked this morning on the main track and Shug was pretty happy with the work. Final decision on the Travers will be made after next workout. Sounds like Shug wants to run in the Travers.

Also today's 7th race. First Janney 2 year old the filly Onus (Blame - Silviculture) makes her debut. 12-1 morning line but Rosario up - a good sign.

Imagining ran too good to lose today in the Sword Dancer, leading for most of the race and nearly holding on for the win. Main Sequence made a great charge to win at the last.

Imagining ran a wonderful race and it was heartbreaking to see him lose in the last jump. Trying to be optimistic, if the race was run at Santa Anita, with its shorter stretch, I think Imagining wins if both horses run their same race. I think Santa Anita sets up well for Imagining in the Breeders Cup Turf.

Hoping Mr Speaker gives a good account of himself in the Travers.

Nice day at the Spa so far, 2 wins from 3 starters - keeping fingers and toes crossed for Mr. Speaker in the Travers and Scampering in the Violet (at Monmouth)!
