Khozan is now at Ocala Stud. Chance It moved to Virginia, I think that leaves St Patrick's Day. What's up with Journeyman? Did I miss something?

I never understood why they sent him to Ireland for his 3yo year. When he showed he really didn't like running on the turf, they didn't stop, they just kept trying. Sure there is no way to know if he would have been a GSW if he stayed in the US on the dirt. But it was a lot more likely than on a surface he didn't like.

I don't think he would've been a graded stakes winner. But not only did greedmore keep tossing him into races on turf they kept tossing him into stakes races as well. Despute him floundering. Not only did they fail him his trainer failed him as well.Then they turned around and just did the same damn thing to City of Troy. Would've made a hell of alot more sense to put Troy into a smaller dirt race first to see if he even liked it.

The reason I said there is no reason to tell if he would have been a GSW is. He beat Instilled Regard in his Maiden win and he was G1p at 2 and won one of Fair Grounds Triple Crown preps before becoming a G1 winner on the turf at 5. He also beat Blended Citizen who was a MG3 winner. Fields end up short in CA a lot, I'm sure Baffert would have found a race for him. Plus his best of that crop, McKinzie was out a lot of his 3yo year and Justify only raced for a few months.

I understand why they tried City of Troy on the dirt in the Classic. Running poorly in that race isn't seen as bad as running poorly in a lower race. They did the same with Giant's Causeway and he came within a hair of winning. Declaration of War finished 3rd when they tried with him. And not in the Classic but they sent Johannesburg over to win the Juvenile off a strictly turf campaign. Yes they also had plenty like City of Troy and Galileo and the disgusting death of George Washington.

Those are completely different than what they did to St. Patrick's Day. But they do stuff like St. Patrick's Day all the time. They buy yearlings that are purely dirt bred and then send them to Ireland to race on the grass. Never give them a shot on the dirt ever. Like they bought an expensive Gun Runner yearling last year, Gun Runner has 1 SW on the turf, and they sent the colt to Ireland. He has a stupid name so that means they know he isn't any good on the turf. He was entered a bit ago but hasn't started yet. But why do they buy million dollar + yearlings that aren't going to race on the turf and try to force them to? Its baffling.

Just found that G3W Hopeful Treasure (Oxbow) covered mares in Pennsylvania this year. Love Oxbow so I'm selfishly happy every time he gets a son at stud.

Sadly those sons are probably going ti be how he makes his name given Oxbow doesn't cover many mares at all

I got my first pony when he was 6 and I was 4, and I kept him until his very last day 24 years later. Breed doesn’t matter, almost all old horses are going to look old.

Idk guys, yall want updates of horses from overseas, but when we get genuine candid content, we say the geriatric horse looks bad.
