Yeah. Team Valor just tweeted that she didn't meet her reserve, so they'll keep her.amfuller wrote:second_glance wrote:amfuller wrote:Summer Soiree in foal to MDO sold for $1.95
Probably an RNA.
Mt. Brilliant got Star Billing.
Looks like Summer Soiree is an RNA. DRF reporting the ticket didn't come out.

Unfold the Rose, dam of Stephanie's Kitten and carrying a full sibling to that one, went for $325,000. My guess is that she is an RNA. One would think that mare is worth more and the Ramseys know it.
Upperline was bought by Town and Country Farm

Bless the handlers in the ring, you have some really unhappy mares , they do their job very well. I would assume that some of them calm down once out of the ring?

Zoftig, carrying a full to Zo Impressive, goes for 1.1 Mil. What a beautiful mare she is, I love Cozzenes anyway.

Agreed - glad to see Zoftig break a million. She's so lovely. Went to Stephen Hillen - looks like he's a British or Irish bloodstock agent?mariasmon wrote:Glad Zoftig sold well, even though, at 15, she is at a less desirable stage of her breeding career.
The Ramseys don't own Unfold the Rose. They are selling her for whoever does.
Oh, good to know! She's a daughter of Bail Out Becky, who is/was owned by the Ramseys. Plus, she's by Catienus and has a regular date with Kitten's Joy... I just assumed. Either way, I thought she was deserving of bringing more... and thankfully, her owner agreed. She's an RNA.

What a steal she turned out to be! I loved Bail Out Becky when she was racing.mariasmon wrote:I wonder if the owner will continue to board Unfold the Rose at Ramsey Farm. I suppose she could still get sold privately, too. The Ramseys did own her, but sold her at KeeJan11, for $11K

I was thinking the same with hip #289...quite the kicker she was. Not a happy girl to be in that small ring. Who are the handlers? My fave is the guy who had Ebby...for no real reason lol! Are they Keeneland staff? I would imagine they have horse experience? Pretty neat to think of the amazing horses they've touched as they have passed through the ring over the years.serenassong wrote:Bless the handlers in the ring, you have some really unhappy mares , they do their job very well. That's Cordell Anderson. He's awesome. He can stand a horse for a photo in about 15 seconds. No idea how he does it. He also works at the Taylor Made consignments. He actually had A.P. Indy in the ring as a yearling, among others (including Royal Delta, as well).Carotene wrote:I was thinking the same with hip #289...quite the kicker she was.
