I've seen whispers of PioneeroftheNile going to $100k for siring a Triple Crown winner.

From every logical perspective, it would appear that horse breeders are nuts.

Harras Puerta de Hierro in Chile is standing Grassy, Neko Bay, Pavarotti (A.P. Indy 1/2 to G1 winner Snow Ridge), and a few others--some might just shuttle, not exactly sure.

I think AP being 3x more than CC is more than defensible.

On pedigree alone AP is worth more. Physically, AP is a better looking horse. CC turns out fairly noticeably.
I would also say a Champion 2-year-old who went on to win the Derby-Preakness is a lot more attractive. AP's overall race record is superior - even if he is one year behind CC.

AP's sire line is pretty popular right now and, with Empire Maker being out of reach in Japan right now, a superior example of his bloodline should be attractive.

Hope he does well at stud. He didn't have the smoothest racing career, despite having ability.

Read back in the thread. There's already talk of $100k for him.

Well he has something no other stallion in the world can boast about. He is the only currently living stallion to sire an American Triple Crown winner. My prediction?

I posted this in one of the AP threads yesterday, but it fits here. 8-) WinStar tweeted this yesterday... no info about his fee, though.

ETA: And I have to admit I'm surprised nobody has edited his Pedigree Query entry yet with "sire of Triple Crown winner" yet. His dam's page has it. 8-)

Didn't see this posted yet. New photo of A.P. Indy at Lane's End Farm. He's looking good for an old guy.

Haras don Alberto has been able to tap into Scat Daddy's success in Chile and secure his son No Nay Never for the 2015 SH season. Joining him are War Command and Stay Thirsty. Mastercraftsman and Stevie Wonderboy also return, among others.

Mastercraftsman is a big deal, he's had Amazing Maria winning at Royal Ascot and his superstar son The Grey Gatsby was oh so close to Ascot Grade 1 glory!

Speaking of Royal Ascot, Zoffany has been doing exceptional with 3 juvenile Royal Ascot winners from just his first crop! For those who don't recognise who Zoffany is, he was a very useful miler who went within 1/2 length of beating Frankel in the 2011 St James' Palace Stakes at Royal Ascot.

Happy to see Seeking The Dia returning to Haras don Alberto as well. He had a quick stint in Japan, then Kentucky and then Florida before being exporting to South Korea. He's had nice success in South America, including a G1 winner and several graded stakes winners. Not sure I've ever see any stallion split time between Korea and the South Hemi....but happy for Dia...he was virtually ignored in the stateside market.

As for Mastercraftsman....he made the switch to Haras don Alberto after standing a couple seasons in Australia. He's the real deal.

Will we now see Sunday Silence's 3rd generations stepping up their presence? :D

2013 Breeders' Cup Marathon winner London Bridge has joined the Ridgeview Park roster at Muskerry East in Victoria. London Bridge is the first son of leading Kentucky sire Arch (Kris S.) to stand in Australia.
