This is the last of the full brothers, I believe? I know the Dynaformers aren't exactly precocious, but not starting until four?

Yes, he is the last. I think they've been pretty honest in stating that he's had various issues and growing pains that have kept him from debuting sooner. He looks huge in pics.BaroqueAgain1 wrote:This is the last of the full brothers, I believe? I know the Dynaformers aren't exactly precocious, but not starting until four?

Rock Scene won a MSW at Penn last night. He is a Rock hard Ten son of the champion mare Escena, who died earlier in the day.

Just watched the race on the feed, very nice job by her. Wonder if they will try a minor stakes for her next?krmemories wrote:Honor Code's 3/4 (?) little sister Lady Serena, 3-yr-old filly by @DarleyStallions 's Bernardini out of the Storm Cat mare Serena's Cat, takes the 1-mile opener today @TheNYRA's Belmont Park. How wonderful! I have been watching Dance Swiftly on the foaling cams for the last 3 years, good to know.Izvestia wrote:Nice win by Lady Serena.
The winner of the race 2 allowance at Belmont, Speightster, is out of Dance Swiftly (full sister to Dance Smartly). He's a half to SWs Paiota Falls and West Coast Swing.

Indian Vale, an Ontario bred multiple stakes winning mare by AP Indy, produced the winner of Race 7 [1-mile turf allowance] at Arlington Park today. Her son, Lewis Vale, is an Ontario bred 4-yr-old chestnut colt by Flower Alley. He paid $21.60 to win.

In Pennmarydel's defense, he was stuck behind traffic for much of the race, and he looked really confused about what he was supposed to do. Once he got clear room to run, he closed decently to get up for a close 4th place. Think he may be better next time out.
One thing good about his late debut is that his connections never got to push him into the 3yo dirt Derby preps. He gets to run on the green stuff, which IMHO most Dynaformers prefer.

IIRC it's a hunt club? In the tri-state Pennsylvania/Maryland/Delaware area. I think.Admin wrote:Is that another of the dog names as it's a strange name?

A good article from Chronicle of the Horse: http://www.chronofhorse.com/article/aft ... gs-shadowsmariasmon wrote:It's a type of Foxhound. I think Mr. Jackson's family had a hand in cultivating it. Perhaps the dogs in the painting are Penn-Marydel Foxhounds?Admin wrote:Is that another of the dog names as it's a strange name?
At least I remembered it had *something* to do with fox hunting...
