And someone please tell me that Skylord isn't some weird AQHA/draft/dinosaur cross.
The one that got my attention was Capote's Promise.

Noo. I was just thinking about him today. I really loved him while he was racing, I still remember his Rothmans clearly, although it makes me feel old to think of how long ago that was.ElPrado2 wrote:http://www.bloodhorse.com/horse-racing/ ... in-paddock
Bad year for Sam-Son. Losing both Smart Strike and Sky Classic so close together.

All Silver Charm needs is his own pair of sunglasses and they might be twins. His coat is light enough.

That's an old-school pedigree http://www.pedigreequery.com/capotes+promise His last advertised stud fee was $950 so I bet "private" means "name your price".Admin wrote:BlindLucky wrote:Blood-Horse has a gallery showcasing about 30 stallions from across the US, several of which I'd never heard of:

Oh yay, I was worried that it was worse... I saw an article last week but it looked like (with imperfect google translation) that he might've passed away so I waited to hear something official.Northport wrote:Paca Paca Farm @PacaPacaFarm
Mayano Top Gun(Brian’s Time) has been pensioned from stud duty at Yushun Stallion Station. He will be sent to a retirement facility.
May he enjoy a long and leisurely retirement. : )

Mayano Top Gun(JPN) was one of the greatest runners sired by Brian's Time(USA), along with TC winner Narita Brian(JPN) and so on.lurkey mclurker wrote:Oh yay, I was worried that it was worse... Of his 21 starts, the Tenno Sho Spring 1997 has been remebered by many fans here as one of the greatest races in modern Japanese racing.

1st.#4 Mayano Top Gun (Brian's Time) H6 3:14.4 (record) Seiki Tabara
2nd. #8 Sakura Laurel (Rainbow Quest) H7 1/1/4 Norihiro Yokoyama
3rd. # 14 Marvelous Sunday (Sunday Silence) H6 1/2 Yutaka Take
Jockey Seiki Tabara gave him a great ride, understaning his main rivals were #8 and #14 in this 2 mile contest.
I still get a chill when I view this video, as I can feel about Mayano Top Gun and his rider's real determination to beat their rivals.

The google translation is a little iffy, but "Mach shock wave" is certainly descriptive of that race! Love Mayano Top Gun's face...thanks for sharing.

Not sure if this was posted anywhere but Lure had his 26th birthday. He looks good for an old man!

Yes, Mayano Top Gun was given the nickname ''Mach Shock Wave''.
JRA has been making posters promoting big Japanese stars since Haiseiko (1970) regularly.
77 horses have been honored so far and most recent (#77) is Just a Way.
You may find all the Japan's heroes in the past in the link below.

I'm glad you liked these!
But they are not for sale, unfortunately.
We can only enjoy browsing these links..
P.S.
I still save links you posted in this forum a loooooong time ago, BigCountry!

It's always fun to visit these links to see picks of my favorite horses. (I especially liked rare picks of Yenda including the shot with the Prince, Nakatani and Frankel for her Long Island Handicap win at Belmont Park!)
Thanks again!
