Buchiko is 7/1 now.
She could be a bit overrated considering the depth of this field and her poor draw.
But many fans will just cheer for ths idol-filly! :D :D

Kokorono Ai (Stay Gold) won it.
Buchiko was unplaced.

Good. Now we can put that nonsense behind us and she can get back to her winning ways on dirt.

I don't follow Japanese racing (though every time I watch one of their clockwise races on those lovely tracks, I admit that I flash back to all the hours I've spent in Gallop Racer!), but I assume they tried her on turf basically for the same reasons we in the States try turf horses on dirt around Derby time? Are there more prestigious opportunities on the turf in Japan?

She sure looks like she tries hard every time she starts, but she was totally outrun this time around. Hope going back to dirt is all she needs!
Not a wholesome trottin' race, no, but a race where they sit down right on the horse!
Like to see some stuck-up jockey boy sittin' on Dan Patch? Make your blood boil? Well, I should say!

You are right!

I'm not so sure that she ran a bad race.
She showed her speed at least, even if it looked like she disliked that yielding turf....
Thanks to her appearance, Hanshin handle and attendance were strong despite of bad weather that day.
She will get back to her preferred surface next time out anyway,
Let's hope she will be a graded winner on dirt soon! :D

Thought this filly was pretty nifty looking with the white spots all over her coat. Hip 139 (Bellamy Road - For Royalty) attracted an $800,000 winning bid says the post from WinStar on their facebook.

Indy Grand (Matricule x Painted La Riva, by Airdrie Apache) only made one start, and has gone on to a career on a different type of circuit :D

From the Racing Post's Foal Gallery:

"Thank you to Angrove Stud for sending us a picture of this smashing foal. She is by Spottedick out of the winning Mujahid mare Star Promise and was born on Tuesday, April 21."

Is there a registry for English Thoroughbred Paint Horses?
Am I wrong in thinking that she gets that flashy coloring from her sire, Spottedick? And also wondering if he got his name because he has a spotted d*ck?

There's no way I'm going to Google it to be sure, but I think spotted dick is the name of a dessert in England. :D
