After being highly touted prior to his first start (and following his sale for $1,000,000), at SAR last summer, he finished 7th. He later finished 2nd in 2 more starts, at BEL and AQU. An impressive win in his 3YO debut, in front of a KEE crowd, might again raise his stock.
He was 2nd today again.

Don't know that it's an excuse, but the chart says he hit the gate at the start.

Smuggler's little boy Scam, a 5-yr-old chestnut gelding by Giant's Causeway, is running in today's 8th race @ Parx. It is a 1 mile allowance optional claiming. He is not in for the tag. Main Line Racing Stables owns him and Jason Servis is his trainer. He is 6/1 on the morning line. Post time is 4:04 p.m. EST.

E.T.A.

Scam rounded out the superfecta, running 4th as the 3/2 post time favorite.

I just read that Smuggler died from foaling complications... sad, but at least her boys are running pretty well.

And her War Front foal also died. A doubly-terrible loss...my condolences to Claiborne. :(
