Thanks again, all! Very excited and hoping for a safe and sound final foal of the year very soon!
You guys hit on the two crosses I'm most excited about actually. Bridal Memories is beautifully bred and a nice physical but most of her career she was bred to more dirt oriented sires despite her turf breeding. She's had only one black type runner and no real big horses which is why we were able to buy her. I'm rooting for the last few foals, more grass-oriented to give her a boost. She has a Ghostzapper 3yo who took a big step forward on grass, though still a maiden, has a kittens joy yearling that we've heard through third parties is a nice foal and this Artie Schiller baby, and with a freshman (at least here in the us) son of War Front for next year, I'm excited!
Much Rejoicing was a very nice race mare who just had a lot of tough luck. She was kind of a nervous type so several of her biggest races she just didn't fire as well as she could have, or she caught soft ground when she always preferred firm. My theory as a breeder is that if you can produce a 2yo turf runner and get on that With Anticipation to Pilgrim to Breeders Cup track (or filly equivalent), it may be the "easiest" (not that any of this is easy) path to a millionaire race horse. After MTR sired both BC juvy turf winners a couple of years ago, he really caught my attention. I think this pairing could be a way to get onto that kind of a track. At least I'll be hoping so!

Trinniberg's red pom pom was so much a part of him at the track, it just looks natural on his cute little one.RuffiantoRags wrote:Look at those whiskers!Sparrow Castle wrote:Making the rounds on FB today. So cute.Rockridge Stud, LLC

I love DoW, but I wonder what she'd throw if you could get her into War Front's book. Or even Giant's Causeway. I love Unbridled mares. Especially from this deep Darby Dan family. I loved Winter Memories when she was racing. I also wonder what this mare would do with Frankel. Not sure why she was bred to dirt before you got her. That's about as strong a turf pedigree as you'll see.JustinNich wrote:Thanks again, all! Very excited and hoping for a safe and sound final foal of the year very soon!

Any dream ideas for Haysee? She is from probably my favorite family in the stud book, LOL.
