One of the final fillys from the beloved Indian Charlie is running in the Davona Dale Stakes at Gulfstream this Saturday (2/21/15),
Lassofthemohicans - clever. And she's not a bad runner either...

And the ironic thing about his name is that he's soooo laid back. You'd think he'd be this peppy, on-your-toes guy... Rousing Sermon... but he's the only horse I've ever seen to try to graze in the saddling paddock at Churchill Downs and stop to eat the flowers in the landscaping in the middle of a gigantic crowd. He'll make a great trail horse when he's done racing :lol:

I've always liked the name for Rip Van Winkle's colt - Dick Whittington. But I've always been a big fan of haughty-sounding British names.

One of my favorites was a horse by Two punch named Down goes Frazier...I guess you have to be old enough to remember Howard Cosell to fully appreciate that one..

I was betting that horse last year at Saratoga.
When he was racing I made a point of yelling it out at the OTB

While watching the BC simulcast I occasionally watched the racing from GP West, and saw this horse win a 6250 claimer there:
Whiskey Cures Ugly.
Reminds of the horse I saw racing a few years ago named Drinktilshespretty. ;)
