Gorgeous looking colt by Maxios out of Waldtraut (by Oasis Dream). Family of German Derby winner Waldpark and English St Leger winner Masked Marvel. Love his coloring.

With the hideously extreme winter weather hitting Kentucky and other parts, I'm wondering how the stud farms are managing? I see lots more foal blankets (the sweetest thing ever!) and imagine it's been tough for vans to navigate icy roads to bring mares to the breeding shed.

He is a lovely looking colt, regardless of color. But I wouldn't mind him staying black either. ;)

We've had much shorter turn out periods for our foals, if at all. We've also had to delay some vans leaving due to the extreme cold temperatures. It's been the coldest February on record in our area of Ontario. Brrr!

And to think, they put off breeding her for so long. Now look at the baby they have.

They tried to sell her at Keeneland, too, but she was an RNA. Looks like they're probably happy about that now.
