Mshawish muscles through rivals to take Gulfstream Park Turf
Full of run but buried in traffic in deep stretch, 7-5 favorite Mshawish (Medaglia d'Oro) bulled his way through to edge Slumber (Cacique) by a nose in Saturday's $300,000 Gulfstream Park Turf H. (G1). It was a dramatic way to give Al Shaqab Racing a first U.S. Grade 1 coup, extend his winning streak to three, and join millionaires' row with career earnings of $1,055,155.

From Brisnet
Micromanage (Medaglia d'Oro) will seek his third straight stakes win on Aqueduct's inner track in Sunday's $100,000 Evening Attire. Conditioner by Todd Pletcher, the five-year-old exits wins in the January 19 Jazil and December 13 Queens County, registering a 103 BRIS Speed rating each time, and he'll square off against seven rivals over 1 1/16 miles with new rider Irad Ortiz Jr. Grade 3 scorer Kid Cruz (Lemon Drop Kid) will make his first start since a fourth in the Travers (G1), and other runners include Cousin Stephen (Proud Citizen) and Stormin Monarcho (Monarchos).
