The same article notes that in the nightcap Oak Brook, a full brother to Giant Oak, is running.
Sakima was fourth in his race; Oak Brook was second in his.

He was 6th of 14. I didn't get to see the post parade, wonder if he's as good looking as his big brother.

JAPAN was off slow then allowed to settle, moved far wide through the turn, angled out approaching the stretch, bumped with POOL WINNER and did not reach contention

Japan is a looker. Impressive looking. Big colt, neck arched, well behaved in post parade.

Irish Mission makes it two wins in a row. Love this big, beautiful mare.

Khozan (1/2 to Royal Delta) runs in the 5th @ GP here in a few minutes. He looks fantastic! 1/9 favorite.

Looked good. He may not have beaten much of a field, but the effortless way the colt moves is impressive.
I hope he goes on to be a top stakes horse, and gives the late, lamented Delta Princess a worthy stallion to continue her legacy.
Yes, I know Empire Way is standing (California, I think?), but his record is a little underwhelming. The 'Princess's daughters (Royal Delta, Carnival Court, Crown Queen) IMHO have been her best offspring, so far.
Delta Princess was such a wonderful producer, perhaps comparable to Kind, Urban Sea and Cee's Song. Such a tragedy we lost her at only 15. :(

I just checked out of curiosity, he got a book of 51 mares last year. Seems like a decent number, I guess there should be little Empire Ways running around Cali by now--or very soon!

Devine Aida won the off-the-turf Herecomesthebride at flooded Gulfstream. She is by Unbridled's Song out of the graded SW mare Passion.
I think she is better on grass, but apparently she doesn't mind wet tracks either.
