Wow! Thanks for sharing. Einstein is gorgeous! I absolutely love Milwaukee Brew- he is a big, robust boy. Rookie Sensation looked like he was having fun. I never knew Silent Name had that mark on his neck. He looks big too.

He's got two patches of white on him. One on his neck and one on his barrel.

There are several photos of him in the stream but I can't figure out who it is. It's not Deep Impact??

Looks young. Kizuna, maybe?

If it is the same horse also in this sequence (which I am pretty sure is the case) -

Kizuna has a white front sock but this horse doesn't. It's a mystery!

Is there a horse called Fogettaburu, and if so, could this be him?

Yep, that's Fogettaburu. I took the Japanese characters and put them in Google translate. Instant identification. :D

An aside: Not much bedding in that stall, or am I missing something?

I did that too (before I asked here) but couldn't find any "Fogettaburu" listed in Pedigree Query. Does anyone know his pedigree? 8-)

ETA: n/m, found him finally (added "horse" to my google search  )

He's a 2006 model by Dance in the Dark out of Air Groove. He seems like quite a character; what caught my attention in the first place was his sleeping and silly faces.

His dam Air Groove was a champion mare.

Thank you tachyon! That seems sort of an unkind name for such a lovely horse  but I guess his race record wasn't quite as spectacular as his brothers' - he is half to both Rulership and Admire Groove, wow!

Is Air Groove considered a blue hen mare, then?

:D

I was out of town and could not reply to your posts, lurkey and Catalina.

The best way to find a Japanese horse's name must be:

1. Take Japanese characters and
2. Copy and put them to search window of the link below
http://www.jbis.or.jp/index.html

then you should jump to the horse's Japanese page and find his/her alphabetical name, too.

I hope that will work!

And so, there is no horse by that name?

Did you copy フォゲッタブル and paste it to JBIS Search?

.... then I guess you will reach to

http://www.jbis.or.jp/horse/result/?sid ... &x=77&y=30

and then to ..... ( by clicking フォゲッタブル in the link above)

Tachyon's search link did work - he's listed there with both names, Fogettaburu & Forgettable. Pedigree Query had him only listed under Forgettable, which is why I couldn't find him there earlier.

Thank you for the search link, tachyon, it will be very helpful.

You are welcome. :D

But it seems that there remain one thing I may have to add to this scheme:

when you use
http://www.jbis.or.jp/
you had better not to be on google translation.

Forgettaburu must be a wrong translation brought by those internet automatic translators.

JBIS itself would only have フォゲッタブル and Forgettable, his official names in Japanese and English, respectively.
