Congrats Recovering After Colic Surgery
Read more on BloodHorse.com: http://www.bloodhorse.com/horse-racing/ ... z3NhuJ8qenCongrats , A.P. Indy's only champion freshman sire, is recovering in good order following colic surgery in late December in Australia, where he was wrapping up his shuttling obligations at Vinery Australia for the Southern Hemisphere breeding season.
"Congrats became uncomfortable late last month and was sent to Scone Equine Hospital, where an exploratory laparotomy was performed," Vinery Australia general manager Peter Orton said of the abdominal surgery. "He is back home in his own stall at Vinery Australia, and continues to do very well."

I'm relieved that we didn't lose another horse to colic...seems like the good news comes less often than the bad.

Dunkirk, out in his paddock in Japan: https://twitter.com/nabecci/status/551318597901889536
Lots of stallions (and I think some broodmares too?) in this user's feed, though sadly I can't read Japanese so can only tell a few of them by their halter plates. But so lovely to look at.

Nabecci tweeted:
No, I'm not Makoto Sparviero.
I'm Dunkirk!
What? You don't know me right?
You can't forget about the champion first-season sire in the US 2013.
I will be standing in Japan from this year.
Keep it in mind!

Actually I've long been following ''Nabecci''. -- definitely one of the best Japanese feeds on twitter!!
He has good taste in photos and tweets filled with humor.
One to follow!
Dunkirk is already fully-booked for 2015!!
And, of side note, Makoto Sparviero is another grey stallion standing at East Stud.

Very Sad, and a tough loss for Florida breeders too. With Put it Forward, Graeme Hall moving on recently it leaves a gap in proven stallions for Florida. Hopefully Two Step Salsa and Kantharos continue to build on their early success.mariasmon wrote:Wildcat Heir euthanized due to colic:
