Probably both. Milwaukee Brew, Sligo Bay, Silent Name and Wilko have all moved, some of them twice, and they seem to have found their happy place in Canada, where each is in the top 10 on the general sires list (MB at #1, SB at #2, SN at #3 and Wilko at #7).

Macho Uno has moved and seems to be doing alright. I was told that Alphabet Soup saw far more mares this year, back in KY, than he did the previous year. He's also moved around a few times.

Others, like North Light, never really caught on in North America. Showing Up moved a couple of times and never found his footing as a sire. Maybe ge wouldn't have been a good sire, regardless, though.

I generally think 5he moves have sent the stallions to locations where it's expected they'll receive more support. Often, it works, sometimes it backfires.

That Alphabet Soup info was not correct. I just checked. He saw 28 in NY in '13 and 19 in KY this year. I wonder if he has a fertility problem, though, as he only had 14 live foals this year from those 28 mares.

Speaking of Adena Stallions, I personally think it has helps keep the stallions being wanted by breeders... By moving them around it allows them to fill books.. Why stand in one spot and lower your fee year after year, when you can move to a location where the horse is a bigger fish at the same price.. 20 mares at 1200 or 20 at 4,000.. Seems a logical business strategy to me. Just my thoughts.

Not really for a particular "stallion", but Coolmore gave its site a really nice facelift, the old navy blue was a bit drab! - Coolmore.com

A lot of farms (Darley, Adena Springs, Gainesway, Lanes End, Stonestreet, etc.) have really upped their website game this year!

Noble Mission is one good looking horse. I love how level-headed and kind he seems. Really cool horse, I hope he does well in North America.

Speaking of Frankel and his brothers, his yearling full bro is being sent to Andre Fabre. Bred and owned by Khalid Abdullah, the chestnut colt is not yet named.

Darn it, I was hoping he would have gotten some more mares here- he is one nice solid looking horse. At least he will be now charming the Irish gals.
