Leading Light has been retired to Coolmore's National Hunt division. Was hoping to see him stick around as a top class stayer but it sounded like he got pretty mangled in the Long Distance Cup

That's where he should've started, not in KY for $15,000 or whatever. Does anyone know how many mares he got last year? He is a big, strapping individual, with a wonderful pedigree. Hope he does well at Colebrook.Bold Carma wrote:Eye of the Leopard will be at Colebrook Farm in Ontario, for a fee of $5000.

Nice video. I never get tired of watching his 2,000 Guineas win.
His weanling daughter out of dual-classic winner Finsceal Beo sold for a record €1.8 million (~$2.2M) at Goffs in Ireland Thursday:

I don't think he will get many mares at $5,000.Bold Carma wrote:Eye of the Leopard will be at Colebrook Farm in Ontario, for a fee of $5000.
He didn't run at 2 and he couldn't win or place against open company at 3.

It's curious to me that weanling daughter sold so high, but at Tattersalls in Newmarket his weanlings did not sell. Too high of a reserve? I wonder what prices were being asked for those weanlings?

I visited Banstead Manor Stud this summer to see Frankel, and was impressed at what a flat-out good looking horse he is. Somehow I missed that in the midst of his racing success - maybe because he was just a blur of speed!
They did a really nice job with this video, and the stud farm is just as beautiful as depicted. Never seen such such quality accommodations for stallions! Juddmonte is a first class operation all the way.

Does anyone know where, or if, Jackson Bend is standing next year? After he was retired for the second time this past March, Fred Brei said J.B. would stand the 2015 breeding season in Florida but a farm had yet to be determined.

Good luck to him, hope he does well in a more regional market.

From someone who knows more about the breeding biz than I do, do you think Adena moving many of their stallions (aka not Awesome Again and Ghostzapper) around everyone 1-3 years helps or hurts their stud careers?
