I agree. I'm not sure where he could even be faulted. At least in this picture.Miss Woodford wrote:He's just about flawless.Northport wrote:Fort Larned

I agree - he is a lovely horse. Just about the only nitpick flaw I can see is the slightest hint of a ewe neck - that heavier muscling on the underside of his neck, but that could also be how he is posed.Life At Zen wrote:I agree. I don't know that he would ever 'wow' anyone, but he is a better looking horse than that photo.Starine wrote:While I was a fan of his while he was racing, Musketier is kind of 'meh' for me.

Some horses just don't photograph well, kinda like people.luvthesales wrote:I don't know that he would ever 'wow' anyone, but he is a better looking horse than that photo.Starine wrote:While I was a fan of his while he was racing, Musketier is kind of 'meh' for me.
Rahy and Dynaformers pictures never really did them justice (the official confo shots). They looked totally different in person. Rahy looked like a throwback to the Arab blood, and Dynaformer was built like a brick S#$%house- very imposing looking.

I'm not a big fan of that look, either. I think it's more pleasing to the eye to have a more natural type of surrounding.sweettalk wrote:looks over the knee up front? but i hate when they're photo shopped like that

it makes me wonder if he's weird up front or it's just the shop job. natural pics all the way.serenassong wrote:I'm not a big fan of that look, either. Another case of 'is it his legs...or is it a bad job of Photoshopping?'
I've seen good photos of Animal Kingdom that weren't outlined and, IMO, the connections need to provide a conformation shot that is NOT potentially victimized by some graphic artist's choices of where to go with the silhouette.

Stallions (and sales horses) are set up so that all four legs are visible to someone viewing them from the side. Because the near front leg is dropped straight, the off front leg has to be angled to be seen behind it. It's not photoshop. It's not bad legs. It's the way Thoroughbred horses are presented.
