I liked Fort Larned quite a bit and really hope he makes it as a sire. He wasn't the most consistent racehorse but when he was on his game there was hardly a racehorse that could beat him.

Fort Larned is very nicely balanced. I also like his head, very regal. Are there pictures of Point of Entry? I'd love to see him.

He looks like he was just rescued from a slaughter house. Ok, I'm exaggerating a bit but sheesh, they A. should have taken a better photo with a better background and B. waited until he filled out more. Nothing will help those hooves though.

If you were putting together an encyclopedia of horse breeds, Fort Larned's photo could be a good choice for depicting the classic American Thoroughbred.

The photo wasn't taken by the farm. It was taken by a visitor and tweeted out. It's a terrible photo (as many unprofessional conformational type shots are) so shouldn't be held against the horse.

Have to love it, really, proving that being ginormous isn't a requirement for being a good racehorse -- or having the perfect neck.

The neck length is the only fault I can spot from that photo.

Other than his mini-neck, I agree. He's a very attractive horse, proportionally. He does look tiny though. Funny to hear he is that small. Size doesn't always matter! I imagine that if he does pass on his tiny size, they won't sell extraordinarily well at the sales. But, he was a tough little dude, and I think if he'd been with someone else as a trainer, may have lasted longer.

While I was a fan of his while he was racing, Musketier is kind of 'meh' for me.

Really like Oxbow though, even if he does have a short neck.

I think a lot of people find Musketier(GER) not the most handsome horse, but we are very used to seeing our own type of "American" horse. He has German blood (obviously) on his top side and French, British, and Irish on the bottom side. Different type of animal, but I really do like it, think we need some fresh lines, IMO.

Was just thinking, wonder if he still has his monkey hanging from the stall door
