I guess it's an unintended consequence of having so many big name mares in one auction, only so many buyers even play on that level to begin with. With the ring flooded with quality the money is spread thinner. I'm trying to remember when some big big dollar mares sold if their auctions were loaded with as many top racemares as this one is?
