lease for one or two years, not a sale. I would have been surprised if Coolmore had sold him, since he's been pretty popular with breeders...and they do like to hang on to their good Galileo boys.
Cape Blanco, winner of the 2011 Eclipse Award for Champion Turf Male, will stand in Hokkaido next season, according to a report in the Racing Post. The Japan Bloodhorse Breeders’ Association has entered into a lease agreement with Coolmore to stand Cape Blanco for one or two years.

I do notice that the article link says "sold." I wonder if, when Paulick first got the news, whoever did the original article was under the impression that Cape Blanco had, indeed, been SOLD. And now that the arrangement has been shown to be a lease, the editors have not gone back and changed the text in the link.
