Hoping for Dubawi. Sending her to Frankel is a lot more inbreeding.

Umm...Treve's owner announced she's going to Dubawi yesterday, so what Northport posted is correct. She's not going to Frankel.

Looks like Treve will look to stay in training, with a third Arc win as her goal!

Michael Matz says nothing has been confirmed yet, but the recently retired Somali Lemonade may go to Frankel.

What does "going to Frankel" entail for a US mare? Does she go over with a whole planeload of other mares booked to high profile sires? Are there quarantine conditions to meet going into the UK, and then back to the US? It boggles my mind to think of the associated expenses beyond the stud fee.

Maybe there will be info about things like that when Royal Delta foals--there should be enough interest early next year that someone will cover it. She's apparently still in Europe, so I'm guessing she'll foal over there.

Oatsee went to Frankel last year - and foaled here- so there may be some info floating around somewhere on the process.

In Lingerie and Mi Sueno visited Frankel, sold at auction in KY, and foaled in Japan. Bet they're glad to finally settle down :D

Mind you she went to Galileo and since it's Coolmore, the expenses must have been unimaginable! But then again Besilu can afford it. I would have loved to see her go to a classic dirt stallion but seeing as her sister seems to have taken to grass, perhaps there is enough turf ability there to create a very good turf horse!

You call up your international shipper and tell them where you're going and when you'd like to be there. When they have a plane available depends on how many others they have going, when you'd be able to fly (after quarantine) and how much you're willing to pay (the more horses shipping at the same time, the less it costs). Still, they try to have a full plane, so there are frequently delays/changes to plans. Yes, you have to adhere to quarantine rules which vary by country. It's not a lot of fun for the people doing the paperwork, and it can get hairy. But somehow it always gets done.
