Bailey is now the voice of morality.
How Philly-based Comcast continues to employ him I';ll never know.
Possibly Brian Roberts of Comcast doesn't know the back story here.

Run Smart One was put in $12,500 one-mile claimer on the Philly turf 10/5.
Went off 23 to 1 with Laura Carson riding and didn't run a lick.
Chart said "showed nothing."
Might be an attempt to get better odds in a $5,000 claimer on the dirt.
Whatever the reason for this outing, I don't like it.

I didn't like that either-and I couldn't watch. Did see the replay!!! But that is exactly what Mr. Budhoo said he would do if he didn't like the turf (which we know he hates) I don't know why they did it-Mr. B told them how to race him, RSO is a bad bleeder and shouldn't be raced that close together. I just so want RSO to be retired-wish there was something we could do!!!!onecalicocat wrote:Run Smart One was put in $12,500 one-mile claimer on the Philly turf 10/5.

Jane, do you know the status of Res Judicata, injured in training when a loose horse slammed into him a couple of weeks ago? Also hoping to hear good news on Lisa Whitaker, his rider, who was hurt in the accident.
I have to add... I have a lot of respect for Jerry Bailey as a jockey, but his spouting off about Espinoza/Shared Belief had me wanting to throw something at the TV. The pot calling the kettle black!

Hi: the last I heard was on Smarty's F/B page that they didn't think anything was broken and he is headed to the farm for a good long rest, but nothing about Lisa!!!!perfectsoul wrote:Jane, do you know the status of Res Judicata, injured in training when a loose horse slammed into him a couple of weeks ago? and yes Jerry Bailey was the pot calling the kettle black-but I have lost all respect for the man.
If I hear anything else, I will post here. I am sure that if they hear anything they will post on Smarty's facebook---it is http://www.facebook/smarty.jones I would like also to know that Lisa is ok!!!!!! was a bad accident. Thanks for asking!!!!!!!

Any Smarty babies or grandbabies that might run at Breeder's Cup?
I was thinking maybe Sky Captain or Isn't He Clever but Sky Captain seems to really like the synthetic surface and Isn't He Clever isn't in a class with the big boys, though he has beaten Code West this year.
The Marathon might attract a Smarty. Indian Jones ran in it in 2013.

Well this is not a win, but actually just as good-Concealed Identity finished 2nd in the Maryland Millions Classic Stakes at Laurel Park in race 10. He started at the back and was the fastest at the end- I just thought this race was a mistake but trainer knows best!!!!! So proud for CI!!!!!!!
