If you look at the other mare and foal pairs that are with Zenyatta and her filly, they are walking in sync too. It's a common occurance.

Yeah, I know, but they don't look quite the same with their masks and such, the blazed head bobs just looked so perfect, even when in the paddock standing by the gate their heads and ears just seemed to mirror each other, I think it's the mini-me affect :)

She's a big sturdy girl, isn't she? She has a more feminine head than Zenyatta but I seem to see some of her mom in that last profile shot.
I ran marathons. I saw the Taj Mahal by Moonlight. I drove Highway 1 in a convertible. I petted Zenyatta.

Zenyatta has yet to produce one that isn't! All 3 of her offspring are just gorgeous and so well built.

Photo of Ziconic from this morning from the Zenyatta site. He's filling out nicely:

He does look very good, just hope he gets a little more of a hind end.

#ZPrincess has not been weaned, but she's very independent.
She looks just like her mama just bay. Very pretty girl.

Are we looking at the same horse? There's another photo in his own thread, his rump is perfectly fine. lol Little high but he's going to fill out nicely.

My word, she is a pretty lady.

The cloned over blaze doesn't do much to stop my heart from going pitter-pat thinking about her future on the track.
Not a wholesome trottin' race, no, but a race where they sit down right on the horse!
Like to see some stuck-up jockey boy sittin' on Dan Patch? Make your blood boil? Well, I should say!

September at Lane’s End

I thought Coz was an ok looking foal, then Ziconic I was blown away with but dang if Z14 isn't something else altogether. She's a good looking filly. She looks so much like her mama but she looks more feminine in the face. :D
They also dedicated the post to Street Cry which I thought was really nice. RIP

Have you ever see more beautiful pastures and quality of grazing than at Lanes End? Especially at the end of the summer.

We have had a very wet summer, combined with lower temps. This is not typical 'end of summer' grazing. Mowing has been a giant PITA. :)

I live in Pennsylvania and we had the same type of weather. Some summers I don't have to mow for the month of August. This year if I missed a week because it rained or various reasons, it was pretty much doubling the mowing time because I had to mow at a crawl or just mow it all twice. The grass was growing like 3-4 inches+ every week.

Yes, I agree the grass is growing like crazy but that means we can get an extra cutting of hay in this year to store up for the winter. Me thinks this is going to be a nasty winter. My chickens and turkeys have molted super early this year, in July and August. Normally they do this is October and November.

Anyone know who the Queen will be bred to this year? Are we all assuming War Front again? I would love to see her return to Tapit
